Ellen G. White Quotes on Teaching:
1: “The greatest work of the teacher is to lead those under his charge to understand Christ* and to imitate His character.” — Education, p. 63
2: “The true teacher is not satisfied with second-rate work*. He (She) is not satisfied with directing his students to a standard lower than the highest they can attain.” — Education, p. 19
3: “He who seeks to transform humanity must himself understand humanity*.” — Education, p. 78
4: “The influence of a godly teacher is like a quiet stream of water, giving life wherever it flows*.” — Adapted from Messages to Young People, p. 250
5: “The teacher who is consecrated to Christ works in union with the great Teacher*, and through the Holy Spirit’s power will accomplish a work that eternity alone will reveal.” — Counsels to Parents, Teachers, and Students, p. 229
6: “The teacher’s work is one upon which great results depend*. It means much more than to impart knowledge; it means to mold minds and shape character.”

He (She) is not merely to educate the intellect, but to mold the character, and train the soul for eternity.” —Fundamentals of Christian Education, p. 57
FIVE WISDOM STONES OF GRATITUDE & THANKSGIVING FOR UFT TEACHER CENTER
1: I would like to thank one of New York’s finest principals, Dr. Monique Campbell, for believing in me, recommending me, and opening the door of opportunity for me to become the Middle School 354—School of Integrated Learning UFT Teacher Center Professional Development Coach in 2007. She was the same principal who provided mentoring and coaching while I completed three hundred hours of internship in 2005 toward fulfilling the requirements for the College of Saint Rose School Administration Advanced Degree. I received my permanent certification in 2006 in SDA (School District Administration).
2: I would like to thank my spiritual mother, friend, professional staff specialist, and one of the best field liaisons, Phyllis Walker, along with her technology specialist family member, Felicia Armetta, for teaching, mentoring, and supporting me during my service as a Middle School 354 UFT Teacher Center Coach.
3: I would like to thank my friend, big sister, prayer partner, stern leader, fellow teacher coach, mentor, and field liaison, Laurie Kingsberry. She was one of the very best of the UFT Teacher Center mothers at 125th Street. She poured into not only my life but also the lives of many others. I love this woman and mighty math educator of God with a deep and unshakable love. Laurie, you prayed me through some of the most difficult times in my life. You also wrote a wonderful recommendation for my oldest daughter’s college application. Because of your encouragement, my daughter—who was homeschooled for four years after Governor Cuomo ended the religious exemption for students under 18—thrived. She became a content creator and is now the Digital Editor for the Vanguard Newspaper at Brooklyn College. Look out for her name: Khalailah Bynoe.
Thank you for taking me shopping for the restaurant when I had it. You are my family for life. You will never be in want as you age. We will be there for you, no matter where we are in this interesting place called the world.
4: I would like to send love and appreciation to my extended family, friends, counselors, and former work colleagues at the UFT Teacher Center. Special appreciation to my three young, brilliant, and creative adopted sisters: Tiffany, Safiya, and Ramatu.
I would also like to thank my other sisters—Felicia, Marie Saddler, Francesca, and Michelle. These four women have stood by my side. During my difficult period with the Mandatory COVID “No Jab, No Job” policy, they either called or texted to encourage me. I love and appreciate you deeply.
I would like to also express gratitude to these brothers of mine: Leo, John, Samson, and Brian. Through many dark and trying days, even when you did not know the depth of my internal struggles, your words and presence motivated me. You are truly brothers indeed.
5: Finally, I would like to appreciate Amanda, Charlie, and Rita for believing in me and for giving me the opportunity to grow as an educator. I love and appreciate each of you.
To the rest of my UFT Teacher Center Family, I thank each of you for the contributions you have made to my life, both directly and indirectly.
Because of the training I received, I am now a better father, mentor, friend, pastor, mathematics teacher, minister of healing, and gospel medical missionary minister. What I learned from 2007 through 2021 at the UFT Teacher Center, I continue to use daily in my professional, spiritual, and health careers.
I wrote a financial book in 2013 on biblical financial management while serving as a UFT Teacher Center Math/Professional Coach and Specialist. The book is titled The Sanctuary Financial System, co-authored by Stephon Bynoe, M.S. Ed., and Leroy Daley, D.Min.
The Sanctuary Financial System is a groundbreaking guide that blends timeless biblical principles with practical financial strategies for modern-day living. Co-authored by Stephon Bynoe, M.S. Ed., and Leroy Daley, D.Min., this book offers a unique approach to stewardship, wealth-building, and economic discipline rooted in the spiritual framework of the biblical sanctuary. Whether you are seeking to gain control over your finances or align your financial habits with your faith, this book provides the insight and inspiration needed to transform your financial journey.
I have also written an Uncookbook inspired by the formula we used to create and develop professional learning:
“Becoming a Conscious Eater: Plant-Based Breakfasts” by Stephon Bynoe, M.S. Ed., was birthed from my 14 years of practices and experiences with my UFT Teacher Center Family.
Both books are available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, the Apple Store, and directly from me, the author.
